Austin, Texas – March 22, 2012 – Data Foundry, a leading provider of wholesale and retail data center services, is proud to announce that Cameron Wynne, Vice President of Operations, has been named AFCOM’s 2012 Data Center Manager of the Year.

“AFCOM’s Data Center Manager of the Year award is given to the one individual whose accomplishments in the data center, to their company, to the data processing community as a whole, and to their own local community have shown them to be an exceptional and outstanding citizen in both their communities and their chosen profession,” states Leonard Eckhaus, Founder, AFCOM.

The award was announced on March 21, 2012 during Data Center World in Las Vegas, Nevada. Data Center World is presented by AFCOM, the world’s leading data center industry association, which counts more than 4,500 of the world’s largest data centers as members and has over 40 chapters around the globe.

“It is an honor for Cameron to receive this prestigious award,” says Edward Henigin, CTO at Data Foundry. “His leadership has been instrumental in guiding our team through improvements to our facilities in Austin and Houston as well as spearheading the design and development of our newest Texas 1 data center.”

Located in Austin, Texas, Texas 1 is Data Foundry’s flagship, 250,000 SF data center and is one of three carrier neutral colocation data centers the company operates in Texas. Cameron was part of the team that led the design and construction of Texas 1. Texas 1 is powered by feeds from dual, independent utility substations, including a dedicated, concrete encased, end-to-end underground feed. The dedicated, concrete encased, end-to-end underground feed is a feature found in a select few data centers worldwide.
