The growth and implementation of IoT-enabled technologies and data-hungry applications has been expanding across Houston’s market and changing the demands of local business. When combined with Houston’s status as a top metro for economic growth potential and as a home to the headquarters of 21 Forbes Global 2000 companies, the business community’s impressive growth has created an expanded need for capable and scalable data center solutions. Now, enterprises encompassing a range of verticals, including healthcare, energy and manufacturing, are driving even greater demand for reliable capacity and high-availability infrastructure that is close to the markets they serve.
At Data Foundry, we couldn’t be more thrilled to answer that call. To meet these business demands and support the exciting growth trajectory of the Houston market, we are happy to report that our Houston 2 expansion, which includes a 27,000-square-foot, 4MW data hall, is complete. As a construction project that launched in early 2019, this strategic addition to our existing 350,000-square-foot, master-planned Houston 2 campus in the Greenspoint district is purpose-built to support power, security and IT requirements for local companies that want to empower their growth.
To celebrate the completion of this project, the Data Foundry team hosted an on-site event on Thursday, January 23 that featured food, entertainment and more. We’d like to thank each and every guest and sponsor that helped us commemorate this event and share in our excitement as we reached the conclusion of this build.
Data Foundry has operated facilities around Houston since 2002, offering service-focused colocation and disaster recovery solutions for customers spanning a variety of industries. This addition further supports our focus on serving as Texas’s leading data center partner by delivering reliable capacity that keeps mission-critical IT up and empowers businesses to expand their initiatives and operations. Now, Houston 2 is even more ideally poised to deliver enhanced capacity, low latency and cost-effective networking.
“We take pride in always putting our customers first, whether that’s through our high-touch services, state-of-the-art facilities, attentiveness to dynamic requirements or extra amenities that promote customer peace of mind,” states Ronald Yokubaitis, Co-CEO of Data Foundry. “We couldn’t be happier to expand our capabilities to meet the needs of our clients as they grow and evolve. Furthermore, we’re excited to deliver enhanced partnership to Houston and its flourishing local business ecosystem as it continues on its fantastic growth trajectory and generates new success.”
